Q&A Session – International Short Films

On Sunday, we’ll gather at Kino Armata for the Screening of International Short Fiilms curated by Queer Lisboa.

After the screening, we’ll have a discussion with our special guests: João Ferreira, Artistic Director of Queer Lisboa, and Alexander David, the director of “Water Hazard” film, under the moderation of Rita Krasniqi, a director from Kosova.

Rita Krasniqi is a director, screenwriter, producer, and lecturer at the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Arts, lecturing Multimedia Directing. She’s known for her films Adnan Kafazi (2023), Okarina (2023), Adelina (2020), and Drita (2018). She is currently working on Vestige as a screenwriter and director.

João Ferreira is the Artistic Director of Queer Lisboa – International Queer Film Festival since 2004. He was a professor in the Artistic Studies course at the University of Coimbra between 2006 and 2015. He was a Jury at the Berlinale and Cannes, and Queer Festivals in Bilbao, Turin, Prague, Vienna, São Paulo, and Palermo.

Alexander David studied Acting at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School. His work has primarily been as an actor in Portuguese film productions, collaborating with directors such as Gabriel Abrantes, João Botelho, Rita Nunes, Miguel Clara Vasconcelos, Márcio Laranjeira, and João Pedro Rodrigues. First Age is his debut film as a director, which premiered at the Rotterdam International Film Festival in 2023.
